Hearts & Homes for Refugees is a volunteer-driven nonprofit organization founded on the belief that grassroots welcoming communities are the local solution to the global refugee crisis. We resettle refugees in local communities and inspire, educate and equip others to do the same. Together with community partners, faith, civic, student groups and U.S. Resettlement Agencies, we offer safe and inclusive communities and empower refugee neighbors to rebuild their lives with hope and dignity. Our model of holistic resettlement improves the long-term outcomes for refugees. Together, we change the lives of refugees as well as the lives of those who offer their time and resources to resettle new neighbors.

This position will support the organization’s mission of welcoming refugees, by assisting with employment. Work directly with refugees on job searches as well as coach volunteers on the same including: assistance with resumes; mock interviews; online profiles and applications; in person job solicitation; and establishing relationships with potential employers.
This position will support operations, focusing on database support (data clean up, data entry) as we transition CRMs; organizing online and hard-copy folders/files; and data management. It will also support outreach programs, including event planning and other tasks as assigned.
